RedTeam Security’s Jeremiah Talamantes was recently interviewed by CSO Online regarding a massive and sustained Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack on a number of high profile websites made possible with the help of hacked “Internet of Things” (IoT) devices in late October.
As you may recall, the attack was carried out through conduit by Dyn DNS via compromised Internet-facing CCTVs/DVRs impacting websites such as: Twitter, Amazon, Tumblr, Netflix, Spotify, and many others.
